Refund & Billing Policy

How billing works on Dokven: tokens, plans, auto-renewal, cancellation, refunds, taxes, and payment authorization, written to respect your statutory consumer rights wherever you live.

Effective: June 16, 2026Last updated: June 16, 2026Version: 1.0.1

1. Overview

This Refund & Billing Policy is part of the Terms of Service and explains how payments, subscriptions, tokens, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and taxes work on Dokven. We show prices and what each run costs in the app before you spend, so there are no surprises.

2. Who processes your payment

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider(s). Today, payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., and the Operator is the merchant and seller of record. Depending on the provider used at checkout, the Operator is either the seller of record (as with our current processor, meaning we are responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes), or the provider acts as a merchant of record (in which case that provider becomes the seller, appears on your statement, and handles tax collection, refunds, and chargebacks). The applicable arrangement is reflected at checkout.

Card details are entered into, and held by, the payment provider. Raw card numbers never reach our servers.

3. Tokens and how billing is metered

The Service is metered in tokens, a prepaid entitlement to run tools. Each run shows its token cost before you start; lighter checks cost as little as 5 tokens and a full browser run costs more. Cached results do not cost tokens.

  • Free plan: a one-time grant of 75 tokens. Free and top-up tokens never expire and carry over.
  • Pro: $49 USD per month, including 1,500 tokens per month. Your plan allowance refreshes each renewal and does not carry over.
  • Business: $99 USD per month, including 3,500 tokens per month (refreshes each renewal; does not carry over).
  • Enterprise: custom token volume and terms, arranged with a signed DPA.
  • Top-ups: 600 additional tokens for $19 USD, re-purchasable any time; they stack on your plan allowance and never expire.

Monthly plan tokens are granted for that billing period. Longer commitments (such as semiannual or annual) charge the full period up front at the per-month rate shown at checkout. Prices are in USD and are exclusive of taxes unless stated.

4. Auto-renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for that plan and interval, until you cancel. We disclose the amount, interval, and renewal behavior before you purchase. You can cancel at any time, at no cost, from your dashboard or by emailing support@dokven.com.

When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the current paid period and then does not renew; you are not charged again. We do not make unilateral mid-term changes to your renewal price or terms without your consent where the law (including Ontario's consumer-protection legislation) requires it, and we keep cancellation frictionless.

5. Refunds

Our standard policy:

  • Cancel anytime, no future charges. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period remains active until it ends.
  • Consumed tokens are non-refundable. Tokens you have already spent on runs are not refundable, and unused subscription time is not refunded except as required by law.
  • Top-ups are non-refundable once the tokens are credited to your account.
  • Service failures. If a run fails due to a fault on our side, the tokens for that run are generally not consumed; if they were, contact support and we will make it right.

Your statutory rights come first

Nothing in this Policy removes mandatory consumer or cooling-off rights you have under your local law. For example, EU and UK consumers may have a statutory withdrawal right, and Ontario's Consumer Protection Act provides cancellation and refund rights for certain agreements. Where such rights apply, we honor them. To request a refund or exercise a statutory right, email support@dokven.com.

6. Taxes

Prices are shown exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. Where the Operator is the seller of record, we calculate and add applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST/HST at checkout based on your location and are responsible for remitting it to the relevant authority. Where a merchant of record is used, that provider is responsible for tax calculation, collection, and remittance. You are responsible for any taxes that are your legal obligation, such as withholding taxes.

7. Payment authorization (recurring and off-session charges)

By starting a subscription or buying tokens, you authorize the Operator (and our payment provider on our behalf) to charge your selected payment method for the applicable fees, including recurring subscription fees and any off-session or merchant-initiated charges you have agreed to, in accordance with this Policy and the Terms, until you cancel or withdraw authorization.

For customers in the EEA, the UK, and other regions that require strong customer authentication, checkout may ask you to complete 3-D Secure or similar verification. If a payment is declined, we may retry and may pause or downgrade paid features until payment succeeds.

8. Failed payments and downgrades

If a renewal payment fails, we may attempt to collect again and notify you. If payment is not completed, your account may be downgraded to the free plan, and paid features and the paid token allowance for the new period may be paused until billing is resolved. Tokens that do not expire (free and top-up tokens) remain available subject to the Terms.
